This may sound over board but emotionally, these seeds have been one of our most important
food breakthroughs. Food allergies are hard on children. My son sits with 3 other kids at the
peanut free table, isolated from his friends and classmates. All his friends eat peanut butter and
jelly sandwiches, like a typical kid. Now, my son can eat a PumpkinseedB & J sandwich too.
He was excited he could eat “Nutella” for a snack like his “normal” non-nut allergy friends.

I am gluten lactose & fructose free what can I replace the confictioner sugar & molasses with as I can’t use them
Laura says
Hi Terri, we cannot use the new forms of sweetener like Stevia or Truvia but those might be options for you? Coconut nectar in a ‘sugar’ firm might also work. A maple syrup or honey could also be used but the butter will absorb the water content and cause it to thicken like a paste if too much is used. I hope one of these options can work for you!
